The online event was held on 27.12.2024 within the scope of the ‘Conference Days’ organized by the Traditional Turkish Handicrafts Application and Research Center. The conference, moderated by Assist. Prof. Özge KILIÇ, Ph.D. and presented by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism Artist Özlem IŞIK SARIHAN under the title of “Anatolia’s Silent Heirs”, was completed with the participation of academicians and students. Within the scope of the conference, information about artdoll art was given, how the artist’s interest in artdoll art began, how her interest in and observations of nomadic women formed the basis of the products were mentioned. In addition, it was emphasized that the feelings, emotions and stories of Anatolian women from the past to the present were taken as the basis in the products designed by the artist, the place of artdoll art in Turkish culture and how it is represented in the international arena.
